According to the Rules, the provision of first aid is necessary:
- Make sure that there is no danger.
- Examine the victim, determine the presence of consciousness and breathing.
- Call an emergency (ambulance) medical team.
- If there is no bleeding:
- put on gloves;
- to lift the limb;
- apply a clean, sterile napkin and bandage to the wound.
- If the bleeding is arterial:
- apply a clean, sterile cloth to the wound and press directly on the wound;
- to lift the limb;
- if the bleeding is not stopped, apply a pressure bandage to the wound and, if possible, simultaneously press the artery at a distance;
- if the bleeding is not stopped, apply a tourniquet.
- If the bleeding is venous:
- apply a clean, sterile cloth to the wound and apply pressure directly to the wound;
- to lift the limb;
- if the bleeding is not stopped, apply a bandage to the wound.
- Lay the victim on his/her back with the legs raised slightly above the level of the heart.
- Cover the victim with a blanket.
If there is no breathing, start cardiopulmonary resuscitation:
- perform 30 chest compressions with a depth of at least 5 cm (no more than 6 cm), with a frequency of 100 compressions (no more than 120) per minute;
- take 2 breaths using a valve mask, breathing mask, etc. In the absence of protective equipment, you can not perform artificial respiration, but only press on the chest. Two breaths should last no more than 5 seconds;
- repeat the previous two points alternately until the ambulance arrives. It is important to change the person performing chest compressions every 2 minutes.
